Our history

Bombas Trief S.L. was founded in 1967 by José Arredondo Mato in the Zorroza district of Bilbao.

We began by designing and manufacturing our Rotary pumps with reciprocating pistons, which sold very well on the market, allowing the company to grow and manufacture pumps with a number of different technologies.

During this period of growth, we began to build Flexible rotor pumps and as of 1992 we began to deliver the first models of vane pumps, BAL series.

Today, Bombas Trief S.L. has a highly-experienced workforce and applies strict quality controls that allow the company to produce about 1500 pumps a year.

The countless applications of the products manufactured by Bombas Trief S.L. allow this company to sell its products in a large number of sectors ranging from the food industry to sectors such as petrochemicals, transport, etc...

We sell our products all over the world, but especially in the following countries: Portugal, the United Kingdom, Holland, Cuba, Venezuela, the United States, Canada, Australia, Greece, Malaysia, South Africa, Morocco, Angola, Tanzania, Singapore, Argentina, Jordan, etc...

In 1997, we were awarded the BVQI and ISSO-9002certificates. Since 2003, we have had the ISO-9001:2008 certificate for the design, manufacture and repair of fluid pumps. We obtained the ATEX certificate in 2004
